Phew! My roller coaster month is finished. Hallelujah!
Now I just have to wait until Wednesday morning when I fly to WA.
Today I threw a shower for one of my best buddies along with the help of some great ladies. She is having a little girl at the beginning of August, so we showered her with a cloth diaper shower. I have great pics from the shower that I'll wait to share tomorrow, but for now I can show you the two crafts I worked on for the shower.
1. little flag banner
These are all over the crafter blog word, I know, but I just really had to try one for myself. I used leftover fabric in my craft-hoarding collection. All I did was cut free-hand triangles of fabric and sewed them to some white ribbon.
the ingredients:
+ a sewing machine

It was really simple and fun to do. I may even make one for my living room this month, who knows...
2. little flag banner onesie
To keep the pattern flowing, I added a little banner to a white onesie for a special baby girl. The stitching isn't perfect because I did it by hand, but shoot it's handmade, right? This was also really simple. I used more leftover scraps (smaller) and a simple yellow ribbon.
the ingredients:
+ needle, thread and onesie
This is a great way to add some uniqueness to a plain onesie. Tomorrow I'll show the rest of her goodies. It was a great day for a baby shower.
p.s. I am really enjoying this song today.
